GM is a group mindfulness mediation course for businesses and organisations.
GM is based on Buddhist meditation, yoga psychology and physiology, and psychological and medical research on mindfulness and meditation. GM's main background is the Buddha's teaching on 'mindfulness' (Pāli sati) in the Pāli canon. My particular focus is on the 'mindfulness of in- and out-breathing' (ānāpāna-sati), which is an extremely beneficial way of learning and integrating mindfulness – from both a health-psychological and a spiritual perspective.
The goal of GM is to enable the clients (usually groups up to 30 people) to develop their own meditation practice and to integrate mindfulness into their lives. The focus and interest of the clients may be spiritual, but it does not have to be. GM is in the same way suitable for clients that want to explore their mind and body in new ways and actively develop greater mental and physical health, well-being, and concentration, which lead to greater insight in an existential sense.
GM sessions take 1h 30min. The usual duration of a GM course is 8 sessions, one session per week.
